Consumer Chat Service

Prox's AI-powered product recommendation chat is free for consumers. Our service is funded by affiliate commissions earned when you purchase products through links in our recommendations.

Email Requirement

After your first conversation, we ask for your email address to continue using the chat service. No password or payment method is required. Your email is used to provide a personalized experience across visits, send price drop alerts and new arrivals, and prevent abuse of the service.

Usage Limits

To ensure quality and prevent abuse, consumer chat is subject to rate limits: a maximum of 10 conversations per user per day and a minimum interval between messages. These limits may be adjusted as needed. Automated or bot usage of the chat service is prohibited.

Conversation Data

Our AI extracts structured metadata from conversations (such as style preferences, budget range, and room type) to improve recommendations and generate anonymized audience analytics. By using our chat service, you consent to this data extraction. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is used and protected.

Partner Program Billing

Prox offers a paid partner program for influencers and brands who want to provide AI-powered product discovery to their audience. Partner billing is separate from the free consumer chat service.

Partner Tiers

Partners choose from Starter ($49/mo), Growth ($99/mo), or Pro ($199/mo) tiers, each with different chat limits and access to audience insights features. All prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

General Billing Terms

Prox does not store credit card information directly. All sales are final. Refunds may be issued at Prox's discretion for technical issues that prevented use of the service. Prox reserves the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice to existing partners.

Partner Cancellation

Partners may cancel their subscription at any time through the partner dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Canceling does not delete partner data — partners may reactivate at any time to resume service.

Partner Affiliate Credentials (BYOA)

Partners may connect their own affiliate network credentials to earn commissions directly from product sales on their storefront. When partners provide their own affiliate credentials:

Partners are responsible for maintaining valid affiliate program memberships
Prox does not receive any commission from sales through partner affiliate links
Partners must comply with all affiliate network terms of service
Affiliate credentials are encrypted and stored securely

Prox earns revenue solely through partner subscriptions, not from partner affiliate sales.

Partner Product Data

Partners who import products from their affiliate networks grant Prox a license to display, store, and process this product data for the purpose of operating their storefront. Product data remains isolated to each partner's storefront and is not shared with other partners.

Data Processing Agreement

For partners who handle customer data through their storefronts:

Data Controller: Partners are the data controller for their storefront visitors
Data Processor: Prox acts as a data processor on behalf of partners
Data Isolation: Each partner's conversation data and analytics are isolated and not shared with other partners
Data Retention: Conversation data is retained for 90 days, after which it is anonymized
Data Deletion: Partners may request deletion of their data upon account termination

Prox implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect partner and visitor data, including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security audits.

Affiliate Disclosure

Product recommendations provided through Prox may include affiliate links to third-party retailers. Prox partners with multiple affiliate networks including Amazon Associates, CJ Affiliate, and Rakuten Advertising to provide product recommendations from a wide range of retailers. Prox may earn a commission when you purchase products through these links. This does not affect the price you pay.

AI-Powered Recommendations

Our platform uses artificial intelligence to:

Analyze publicly available social media trends
Generate product trend scores and recommendations
Match your described problems with relevant product types

AI-generated recommendations are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any recommendation. Always verify product information with the retailer before purchasing.

Third-Party Data & API Compliance

We aggregate trend data from multiple social platforms to provide product recommendations. Our service complies with all third-party API terms of service:

YouTube - Content usage follows YouTube Data API policies
Blogs & RSS - Publicly available content from home and design publications
Amazon - Product data and pricing information

All third-party content belongs to the respective platforms and their users. We do not claim ownership of any third-party content displayed on our site.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Product recommendations are generated algorithmically and may not suit your specific needs.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Data Accuracy Disclaimer

While we strive to provide accurate trend data and product information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of information from third-party sources. Product prices, availability, and details may change without notice and should be verified directly with retailers.

Acceptable Use Policy

Users agree to use our service responsibly and not to:

Attempt to reverse engineer our algorithms or trend analysis systems
Scrape, bulk download, or systematically access our data
Use our service for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
Interfere with the proper functioning of our service

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes through our website or email.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
